Continuing Education Courses

The UIC Great Lakes Center for Occupational Health and Safety (GLCOHS) promotes healthier workplaces and workers and is one of 18 Education and Research Centers across the U.S. funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).

The Continuing Education program serves professionals, students, and community members on occupational health and safety issues through multiple-day courses, workshops, webinars, and lectures. The Center offers trainings for healthcare professionals, industrial hygienists, occupational safety engineers, paraprofessionals, domestic workers, and other occupational and safety professionals.

We partner with other programs engaged in education and training, respond to needs of the OSH professional community, and make education and technical materials more widely available.

Questions or want to request a training for your group? Please contact Continuing Education Coordinator, Lindsey Lorenzana at llorenza@uic.edu.

We are also able to obtain Continuing Education Units for partnerships, please reach out if you are interested in collaborating on a training or conference.
