This lecture offers current information on Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in occupational health and safety and its role in protecting worker health, safety, and well-being. Participants can expect to learn what an AI system is, how it can be designed, and how it can be used to reduce the risk of common OSH hazards. No prior knowledge of AI or coding experience required. Instructed by Dr. Houshang Darabi. Targeted Audience: Occupational Safety & Health professionals and students interested in familiarizing themselves with Artificial Intelligence in the OSH field.

- Explain what an AI system is and what components it has.
- Describe AI applications in OSH – benefits, challenges and opportunities
- Define how AI/OSH projects are completed
- Identify ethical issues related to AI systems
